cutters

Written and directed by Shane Fallowfield

Cutters is the story of two not lovers not ending their lives, or "performance artists" "performing" their deaths. Cutters is a comedy, because it's nice to see others suffer. On stage. And there's pizza.

the jeff goldblum experiment

Written and directed by Jeremy Woodcock

"the jeff goldblum experiment" isn't really the name of this play. This play doesn't even have a name for all I know. That's how fucking experimental this shit is.

Jeff Goldblum is a major part of this play, though. He's a guardian angel of sorts, in his special Jeff Goldblum sort of way.

Jeff helps a young man find himself, disses Shakespeare, acts like crazy, and helps all of us find ourselves along the way. Because that is what Jeff Goldblum does.

the oaf

Written by Dave Alexander and Jeff Latosik
Directed by Marc Heroux

This is the story of a man so powerful, his words rocked a nation.
This is the story of two men and one album.
This is the story of Ian Thornley getting hilariously irrated by Nickelback himself.
This is the story of The Oaf.

dinner and a murder

Written and Directed by Liz Parker

Everything is all set for the Wanderer’s Inn Annual Murder Mystery Dinner. This year’s guests include an actor down on his luck, his agent, a tabloid reporter, a workaholic, the hotel owner and a couple on vacation. There is only one problem. The woman hired to play the murder victim actually gets murdered. When a storm prevents the guests from leaving they must solve the case themselves, with the help of the zany Inspector Moss. In the process they untangle some unexpected connections. Who did it? It might not be who you expect.

mi amor es murder

Written by the Laurier Drama Club
Directed by Corinne Bowers and Olivia Billeci

Wherein the word ‘Odds’ is a pun referring to the personalities of the characters involved and the variables of gambling at the casino hotel when a murder occurs and must be solved by two seemingly inept detectives. Ex-wives, family secrets, random musical numbers and lounge entertainer Burt Wayne further complicate the situation.

mr. sandman's house of fun

Written and Directed by Phil Wolters

Mr. Sandman's House of Fun is an action-packed thrill ride with a happy ending. It involves all of the things you'd expect of an action-packed thrill ride. Like zombies. We have zombies. Actually, there's only one. In addition to a zombie, this play involves time travel, an evil dictator, and somebody being hit with a brick. Oh, and rhyming couplets. Lots of rhyming couplets. Spoken by an evil dictator, no less. These things happen. Sometimes.

play-giarism

Written and Directed by Jessica Peter

Play-giarism is an absurd play, if not necessarily absurdist. The entire fifteen or so minutes of it is made entirely out of quotes from other plays, movies, and books (See how many you can recognize! You won’t win a prize, but I’m sure it will be fun). Between the beginning and the end, except to see marvelous melodrama, awesome overacting, clichéd characters, plenty of familiarity, some definite ridiculousity, and, yep, maybe a dancing panda bear.

hip my angel

Written and Directed by Brittany Lavery

Alex can’t write; at least, that is, until she meets Angel. She was just walking down the street, minding her own business, when this crazy kid started spouting random shit at her about Kerouac. That’s all Alex needs; some winged, garbage-eating weirdo attacking her in alley. But Alex needs to learn that sometimes, just because of the sheer perversity of the universe, when you make rather Faustian demands to know who your muse is, you get exactly what you asked for.
